Occupational Therapist School Setting - Adams, MA
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, providing essential services to students within a supportive educational setting. This role involves working full-time, 35 hours per week, at two schools that value collaboration and student-centered care.
Candidates should bring a solid foundation in occupational therapy, with experience or a strong interest in working in a school environment. Your expertise will help students achieve their fullest potential in both academic and daily functional activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active OT license in Massachusetts, or eligibility for licensure
- Prior background in school-based occupational therapy highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow clinicians
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to changing needs
- Creative problem-solving skills to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students across two school sites within the district
- Maintain accurate records, document progress, and complete necessary reports in a timely manner
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations to school teams and families
- Consult with teachers, staff, and family members to support inclusive classroom environments
