Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience supporting children in Pre K, elementary, middle, and/or high school settings.
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and goal-setting for diverse learners.
- Skill in developing and implementing interventions for fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily functional abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with colleagues, families, and support personnel.
- Adaptability to work in a variety of educational environments and grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine occupational therapy needs for students in grades Pre K through 12.
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop student-centered IEP goals and intervention strategies.
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services, supporting student participation and access to curriculum.
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Provide guidance and training to school staff as needed regarding occupational therapy recommendations.
