Occupational Therapist School Setting in Agate, CO

Essential Qualifications: • Valid licensure or certification as an OT or COTA in Colorado • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams • Strong organizational abilities and adaptability in dynamic settings • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for students of diverse abilities • Proficiency in assessment, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and direct therapeutic intervention
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough assessments and deliver interventions aimed at promoting student participation and engagement in academic and daily activities • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and modify individualized therapy plans • Support students’ development in fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and social interaction skills • Maintain clear and concise documentation, reports, and progress tracking for each student • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom adaptations and accommodations • Offer consultative support and resources to staff to ensure best practices in the school therapy setting
