Located in the Akron, OH area, you’ll play an essential role in evaluations, assessments, and COTA supervision; therapy sessions are managed by a long-term certified occupational therapy assistant. This position focuses on professional oversight, ensuring best practices and quality care for every student.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Ohio OT license in good standing
- School-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
- Teletherapy expertise and comfort with technology platforms for remote assessments
- Strong skills in evaluation, report writing, and collaboration
- Previous COTA supervision considered a valuable asset
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations as needed for students in a supportive K-12 environment
- Oversee, mentor, and collaborate with an experienced COTA, ensuring service delivery aligns with student goals and district standards
- Participate in team meetings and IEP processes (administrative hours for these tasks provided)
- Communicate effectively with school staff, case managers, and families
- Utilize an established IEP system (training provided) and document all services as required
- Attend virtual interviews, making the process both accessible and convenient
