This engaging, full-time role offers 35-40 hours per week serving approximately 40-45 students across two district locations. Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Active California Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
- Skilled in working with diverse K-12 populations
- Strong knowledge of fine motor development and sensory processing strategies
- Experience developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Comfortable providing services without a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
- Proficient communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative, flexible approach to working with multiple school teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat K-12 students with varying fine motor and sensory needs
- Create and implement individualized OT interventions targeting specific student goals
- Split caseload between two district locations, providing services onsite
- Deliver direct therapy as well as consultation for students requiring consult-only support
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
