Step into a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school environment near Anaheim and the greater Los Angeles area! This full-time contract position begins in the next two weeks and offers the potential to extend for the upcoming school year. As a dedicated professional, you’ll work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, servicing students across 1-4 school sites.
Your experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist will empower students to develop skills essential for their educational success. You’ll join a supportive education team and collaborate closely with administrative staff and teachers, making a genuine impact on students’ lives day-to-day.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Proven background in school-based occupational therapy
- Comfortable providing therapy to K-12th grade students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to commute to multiple school sites as needed
- Candidates seeking SLPA or COTA roles are not eligible
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop student-centered treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy services
- Work proactively within IEP teams, offering expert recommendations and supporting each student’s unique goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies
- Provide training, resources, and consultation to school staff and families
- Adapt therapy approaches to the diverse needs of students at various grade levels
