Step into a contract opportunity to support students receiving specialized education services. This assignment, located near Anoka, MN, is ideal for Occupational Therapists passionate about making an impact within school settings. You’ll work closely with students who benefit from Setting IV special education support. The position covers a leave of absence from September 21st to January 4th, with no work required during winter break and the possibility for extension. The schedule is part-time—20 hours a week, spread over five days.
Key Qualifications:
- Active licensure and strong school-based OT experience required
- Background in supporting students within Setting IV or comparable special education programs
- Previous successful district or agency placements, with good standing if already credentialed
- Ability to reliably commute and maintain punctuality for all scheduled hours
- Must complete all onboarding and district background screenings
- Flexibility to work during the regular school year calendar and align with assignment durations
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with diverse functional and educational needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement and monitor individualized intervention plans
- Complete documentation as required by the school and district, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Support student participation in school routines, addressing sensory, motor, and adaptive functioning
- Contribute expertise during meetings and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
