Applicants must hold a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy and possess an active Minnesota Occupational Therapist license. School-based experience is preferred but not required. Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist will work with students across a variety of grade levels and educational settings to support their ability to participate fully in school activities. The OT will assess student needs, develop individualized intervention plans, and collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their educational goals.
Requirements
• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist license
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Knowledge of special education processes and IEP development
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district policies
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-help, and functional skills necessary for educational success
