This contract position supports a dedicated Special Education Team, giving you the opportunity to make meaningful contributions by fostering students’ growth and independence.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist License for California
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school environment preferred
- Strong collaborative and communication skills for teaming with educators, families, and specialists
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions
- Comfort with documentation, progress tracking, and participation in IEP meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students at a single campus location, addressing individualized plans and unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and outside providers to support student success
- Attend team meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and accommodations
- Document evaluations, interventions, and progress, ensuring compliance with school and state guidelines
- Guide classroom staff in supporting carryover of strategies and tools within the school environment
