Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist licensure
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to assess and adapt interventions based on individual student needs
- Proficiency with virtual therapy platforms (if selecting voco option)
- Enthusiasm for fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized intervention plans
- Document student progress, complete required reporting, and maintain compliance with school and district policies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student engagement and success
- Provide input during IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions
- Offer strategies and training to staff for classroom accommodations and supports
- Adjust modalities as needed between onsite and voco services
