Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license from the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)
- Completion of a post-graduate OT program (Master’s degree strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated school-based OT experience (NC schools experience preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of ECATS and IEP processes
- Expertise in conducting motor screenings, OT evaluations, and assessing functional skills pertinent to educational progress
- Familiarity with standardized school-based OT assessments
- Proficiency with the Sensory Processing Measure–2 (SPM-2) and Sensory Profile 2
- Strong skills in analyzing and applying assessment data within educational frameworks
- Willingness to obtain an NPI number and register with NC Tracks prior to start date
- Fingerprinting (DCDEE) and successful district background check required
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site OT services across assigned schools on the western side of the local district
- Implement and document therapy interventions aligned with students’ IEPs and educational goals
- Collaborate closely with educational teams to ensure services support curriculum and state standards
- Participate in monthly workload reviews to ensure effective caseload management
- Communicate assessment findings and recommendations clearly to families and staff
- Remain current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy
