Your expertise will support students’ academic and daily living skills, collaborating with educators and families in elementary, middle, and high schools.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly preferred
- Ability to provide services across Pre K to age 22
- Willingness and ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Must complete required fingerprinting as part of the credentialing process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy to students with a wide range of needs
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to help students achieve their educational goals
- Complete required documentation and progress reports efficiently
- Adapt services to meet varying age and developmental levels, supporting transitions as students progress
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to development of accommodations and modifications
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding OT best practices within the school environment
