Qualifications
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Previous experience working in school settings is strongly preferred
- Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprinting and background checks
- Comfortable serving as an itinerant OT supporting multiple campuses
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with a range of needs, across varying age groups and ability levels
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement targeted interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, families, and administrators to promote student success and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Flexibly adapt to different school schedules and coordinate services across multiple sites as assigned
This is an on-site position, serving campuses within a single district, with no teletherapy or virtual options available. The assignment offers consistent weekly hours (35-37.5 per week) with the potential to impact many students’ lives.
