Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist. Located near Arlington, TX, this full-time, onsite position follows a traditional academic calendar, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
In this role, you will serve a diverse caseload of approximately 45–60 students, tailoring your expertise to meet varying needs across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels. The collaborative environment will allow you to make a significant difference while expanding your professional experience within a vibrant educational setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR) license issued by the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
- Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Adaptability to support students with diverse backgrounds and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for students receiving occupational therapy
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in accordance with IEP/504 plans and student service minutes
- Maintain accurate records, monitoring student progress and documenting interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for ongoing student support
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to promote inclusion and student success
