Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous school-based experience preferred, especially in elementary settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal writing
- Proficient in conducting educational evaluations and assessments
- Ability to complete detailed Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) reports
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with educators, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an elementary-age caseload, providing direct and consultative OT services
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with the school team
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and document findings appropriately
- Complete and present MET reports in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster a positive learning environment
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to address students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student support plans
