Occupational Therapist School Setting - Aurora, IL
Step into a dynamic role supporting students across multiple school sites, where your skills as an Occupational Therapist will empower learners from Pre-K through age 22. You’ll work itinerantly within a large district, serving elementary, middle, and high schools. With a full-time schedule of 35–37.5 hours each week, your days will vary depending on the assigned school site’s specific hours—offering you both structure and variety. This on-site position is not open to virtual or remote work, ensuring your hands-on expertise directly benefits students and school teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active clinical license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable in a multi-site, multi-age environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to travel between school locations within the district
- Commitment to timely fingerprinting and credentialing as required
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students ages Pre-K–22, addressing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Maintain clear documentation of sessions, progress, and participation
- Provide consultative support and strategies to teachers, staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal planning for students
