Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active clinical license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Valid Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) educator license
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices and best outcomes for students with a wide range of disabilities
- Ability to manage an itinerant schedule and adapt quickly to varied school environments
- Must complete required fingerprinting and credentialing steps before starting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with individualized needs across multiple sites
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with district policies and state regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents to support student goals
- Contribute to IEP meetings, evaluation processes, and ongoing communication to promote student success
- Provide consultative recommendations to staff and develop intervention strategies in the educational setting
