Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Illinois, or eligibility to obtain one
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset to work with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Consult with teachers and support staff to implement accommodations and strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Serve as a resource to the school community on best practices for fostering student independence
This is a full-time contract assignment, with a 37.5-40 hour work week in a collaborative and inclusive campus environment. The flexible caseload ensures that your schedule and workload remain balanced while you focus on student success.
