Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
- Prior experience working in school settings preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP documentation and goal development
- Ability to assess and provide intervention for a range of student needs, including sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skills
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of students’ OT needs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to students individually or in group settings
- Communicate progress to teachers, parents, and relevant stakeholders
- Provide strategies and modifications to classroom staff to support student success
- Document services in compliance with school and state requirements
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
