Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state license or eligibility for Occupational Therapy practice
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates are welcome to apply
- Ability to complete comprehensive assessments and create individualized plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative Occupational Therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations to identify students’ needs and recommend interventions
- Develop and implement therapy activities to improve daily life skills, sensory processing, motor skills, and classroom participation
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide guidance and education to staff on supporting students’ functional skills in the classroom
