Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing essential occupational therapy services in a supportive and dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled occupational therapist eager to deliver impactful care in a school setting near Ballwin, Missouri. The assignment covers a 12-week FMLA leave, with the potential to extend based on the needs of the district.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to assigned students, supporting their educational and functional goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress toward goals
- Provide documentation and reports to ensure compliance with district policies and standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations for accommodations and classroom strategies
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all confidentiality and ethical requirements
- Travel between assigned schools as needed (number of schools to be determined)
Qualifications:
- Current, active Missouri Occupational Therapy license
- Experience working in a school setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices in pediatric and school-based OT
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Completion of required fingerprinting, with TCN number sent to the district for credentialing
- Willingness to sign and submit the district’s technology form
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
This is a 37.5-hour-per-week contract position, beginning October 14, 2026 through late January 2027 with the possibility of extension. You will have a chance to positively impact students from a variety of age groups within the Normandy area.
