Desired Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience with school-based therapy, especially with preschool-aged children, is highly preferred
- Understanding of pediatric OT treatment strategies and familiarity with IEP processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for fostering growth in young children
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to preschool students based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities to develop customized treatment plans
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings with educators and caregivers
- Offer recommendations for classroom adaptations and collaborate on strategies to promote participation and independence
- Advocate for students’ needs and help drive positive outcomes in the school environment
