Step into a meaningful, full-time contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), supporting K–12 students for the fall semester in a dynamic school setting near Lee’s Summit, MO. This position ensures you are part of a collaborative team, with supervision from an experienced Occupational Therapist and plenty of support, including paid administrative time for meetings and planning.
Highlights of the Role:
- Full-time schedule aligned with the fall academic calendar, starting ASAP through December 23, 2026
- Serve students across all grade levels (K–12) in a non-itinerant assignment—no travel between sites required
- Paid administrative hours for team collaboration and session preparation
- Work under the direction of an on-site or district-assigned OTR
- Maintain close collaboration with educators, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs and treatment plans
- Document services and outcomes promptly using district systems
- Participate actively in meetings and team planning sessions
- Support an inclusive environment by working closely with teachers and parents to monitor and enhance student progress
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Missouri COTA license, or eligibility via NBCOT certification
- Previous experience within school-based, pediatric, home health, teletherapy, or healthcare settings is a plus
- Commitment to completing all required state background checks and fingerprinting prior to start
