Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in schools, especially with K-12 populations
- Understanding of the unique challenges within educational and healthcare settings
- Proficient in assessing, planning, and providing direct and consultative OT services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deliver occupational therapy services for K-12 students based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate students using relevant assessment tools and make recommendations for interventions
- Develop and implement therapeutic activities to address fine motor, sensory, and life skills
- Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support student inclusion and success
