Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working in a school setting preferred, but strong new graduates welcome to apply
- Solid understanding of IEP development, intervention planning, and documentation
- Effective communicator with students, teachers, and parents
- Collaborative, flexible, and passionate about supporting children’s educational journeys
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain up-to-date records
- Consult with teachers to incorporate OT strategies into classroom routines
- Communicate student progress and recommendations to families and educational staff
- Adapt to changing needs for the upcoming school year as assignments may evolve
