School Occupational Therapist | Bloomington, Illinois

The role spans 1 day each week in Peoria, working exclusively with students in Emotional Disabilities (ED) programs. In Bloomington, you’ll work three or more days weekly, collaborating with teams supporting students in a diverse range of programs including Emotional Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders (Aut), and Life Skills. Your commitment to student success will have a lasting impact on their educational journey and personal growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid OT licensure for the state of Illinois (or eligibility)
- Prior experience or strong interest in school-based OT service delivery
- Background working with students with Emotional Disabilities, Autism, and Life Skills needs preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt services across multiple sites and program types
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Contribute to IEP development, meetings, and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school and district guidelines
- Be flexible and responsive to changing needs in both Peoria and Bloomington programs
