In this engaging contract role, you’ll be serving three schools with a manageable caseload across Manor Hill, Alexander Doniphan, and Shoal Creek buildings. Key Requirements:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Prior experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred
- Comfort working with elementary-age children across diverse needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and flexibly adapt to changing caseloads
- Aptitude for documentation, progress tracking, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students (approximately 8-10 students per day, Monday through Thursday)
- Fridays are reserved for evaluations, testing, planning, and comprehensive paperwork
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate optimal student progress
- Deliver interventions in compliance with IEPs and school policies
- Maintain timely, accurate progress notes and documentation for all students
- Travel between three school buildings as required within the district
