Essential Qualifications:
- Active OT license in Massachusetts, or eligibility to obtain
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning spaces
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate student needs and develop tailored therapy plans to support fine motor, sensory, and functional skills for classroom participation
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to integrate strategies and modifications within general and special education classrooms
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, progress reports, and service logs in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage in IEP meetings, providing professional input regarding student progress and recommended interventions
- Serve as a resource for parents and caregivers, offering strategies to reinforce skill development at home
