Occupational Therapist School Setting in Boston, MA

Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist seeking a contract role working with K-5 students across two vibrant school locations near Boston, MA. This position spans from November 2026 to February 2027 and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference with young learners, providing exceptional support and interventions that foster success in the classroom.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Prior experience working within a school-based setting, especially K-5 populations, is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and therapy planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to efficiently manage a caseload across two locations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in grades K-5
- Evaluate and document students’ abilities, develop individualized goals, and maintain compliance with all state and district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt classroom activities, promote student engagement, and facilitate inclusion
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide clear recommendations for supports and accommodations
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize outcomes
This contract position is structured for 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing a predictable schedule and engaging school environment. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload and build strong relationships within two welcoming schools.
Pay for this role is $45 per hour, reflecting the value brought to the school community.
