Key Qualifications:
- Active occupational therapy license in Washington state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Solid background in school-based OT practices
- Experience working with students across a range of grade levels: Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school
- Strong communication skills to effectively consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting interventions to various age groups and learning needs
- Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills in academic settings
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and develop tailored intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within multiple grade levels
- Work closely with teachers and staff to create supportive classroom environments
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to set and achieve educational goals
- Provide parent education and training to reinforce OT strategies at home
