School Occupational Therapist | Bridgeport, Connecticut

Make a meaningful impact every day as a full-time occupational therapist working with elementary students for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position is based near Bridgeport, CT, and involves providing services across two schools situated on a single campus, giving you the opportunity to support a diverse range of students without the need for extensive travel between sites.
Your role will include delivering hands-on therapy, utilizing both in-person and teletherapy approaches, tailoring interventions to meet each child’s needs. Work closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to foster positive outcomes and help students achieve their greatest potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Connecticut OT license, required prior to start
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in school-based therapy preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare, home health OT, and teletherapy modalities a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
- Demonstrated adaptability in working with elementary-aged children
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group therapy to elementary students across two schools
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to IEP goals and student needs
- Assess students’ strengths and challenges to promote functional independence
- Deliver therapy through both in-person and telehealth platforms
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Train and guide staff and families on strategies that support student development
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational environment
