You’ll have the unique opportunity to help a pioneering therapy program launch its very first year as an Early Intervention (EI) school, gaining experience and skill in an environment filled with enthusiastic leaders and dedicated colleagues. Your role will begin part-time and grow into a full-time position as the caseload increases, providing flexibility and room for professional growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) and eligible for school-based practice in NY
- Experience or genuine interest in Early Intervention and special education
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability as the program evolves
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized and group OT services to young children (10 kids per room)
- Collaborate closely with 1:1 teacher assistants and SPED teachers to optimize student outcomes
- Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans according to student needs and caseload changes
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings within the school
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with school and legal requirements
