Qualifications and Experience:
- Current OT license required for the state of Colorado
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
- Comfortable working independently and managing a consistent caseload
- Commitment to fostering a supportive environment for students with different needs
- Adherence to local district and state compliance requirements for school-based therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students
- Assess students and develop treatment plans addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to school and legal standards
- Communicate progress and strategies to teachers, support staff, and families
- Advocate for student needs and recommend classroom adaptations or equipment as appropriate
