Required Skills and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is highly desirable
- Thorough understanding of IEP processes, goal setting, and required documentation
- Ability to assess, plan, and execute therapy for students with diverse needs across grade levels K-12
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
- Comfortable providing both direct services and consultative support within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment strategies for students
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to foster positive educational and developmental outcomes
- Support students’ access and engagement in school activities through interventions and environmental modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to plan development, and provide ongoing progress reports
- Offer training and resources to staff and families to support carryover of therapeutic strategies
- Maintain detailed and compliant records as required by school and state regulations
