Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school settings.
- Background in healthcare, home health, or teletherapy as it relates to pediatric or educational populations.
- Understanding of IEP processes and ability to collaborate on educational plans.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Well-versed in documentation and reporting for educational and therapeutic progress.
- Adaptable, organized, and able to navigate both in-person and remote service delivery as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students identified with needs, both in individual and group formats.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff to develop and update goals.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and ongoing therapy sessions.
- Offer consultation and support to teachers and school staff on strategies that promote student engagement and participation.
- Adapt therapy approaches to suit school-based and home health or teletherapy models as required.
