Occupational Therapist School Setting in Burnsville, MN
Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting students’ growth and independence. This role offers three openings: two full-time positions and one long-term substitute assignment concluding after the initial months of the school year. With a start date of September 8, 2026, and continuing through June 10, 2027, you’ll enjoy a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Your skills will have a meaningful impact across a range of education centers, helping students in need with tailored therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with eligibility to practice in Minnesota
- Experience in school-based OT preferred
- Strong skills in individualized student assessment, IEP development, and delivering direct/indirect therapy
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary educational teams
- Commitment to fostering student independence and functional skills in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with identified needs
- Develop and implement effective intervention plans and strategies within IEP frameworks
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports per school district guidelines
- Support students with physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges to participate fully in school activities
