Step into a rewarding role supporting students receiving Setting IV special education services during a critical leave of absence. This contract opportunity runs from September 21st to January 4th, with no work required during winter break and the possibility of extension. With a 20-hour weekly schedule spread across 5 days, you’ll make a genuine difference in the lives of students while utilizing your specialized skills in an educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with recent school-based OT experience
- Demonstrated success providing OT services in educational environments, especially to students with significant needs
- Ability to complete both agency onboarding and district background checks
- Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
- Positive references and in good standing from previous placements if already credentialed
- Flexible and able to adjust to the rhythm of the school schedule and assignment duration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted OT services to students in a Setting IV special education environment
- Collaborate closely with educational staff and other related service providers
- Assess and document student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed
- Contribute to IEP development, meetings, and required reporting
- Support a safe and engaging learning atmosphere
