School Occupational Therapist | Burnsville, Minnesota

This position covers a leave of absence, beginning September 21st and running through January 4th, with a pause for winter break and the potential for extension. Work 20 hours per week across five days, collaborating with dedicated educators and support staff in a dynamic special education environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with prior school-based OT experience
- Thorough understanding of Setting IV special education needs and interventions
- Ability to engage, motivate, and adapt supports for students with diverse learning and behavioral challenges
- Proven track record of professionalism—must be in good standing if previously credentialed
- Completion of agency onboarding and district background check required
- Reliable transportation to and from the school location
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing individualized OT services and implementing intervention plans
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams—including special educators, aides, and parents—to maximize student progress
- Documenting student progress and communicating effectively with stakeholders
- Supporting students’ functional participation in academic and daily school activities
- Flexibly adapting to the school schedule and assignment terms
