Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and current Michigan OT license is required
- Experience in school, home health, or general healthcare OT preferred
- Strong understanding of childhood development and individualized educational programming
- Ability to manage a varied caseload
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for working with children and supporting their unique needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ abilities, motor skills, and needs within an elementary school environment
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions and goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student progress
- Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Travel to multiple elementary schools as assigned
- Adapt interventions and environments to support access to the curriculum for students of varying abilities
