Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Previous school-based experience is strongly preferred
- Comfort working with students ranging from elementary through high school age groups
- Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation standards
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with both multidisciplinary teams and families
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and deliver targeted OT services in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop and implement customized intervention plans for students with varying abilities
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required reports
- Participate in team meetings, reevaluations, and planning sessions
