Occupational Therapist School Setting in Carlsbad, CA

This contract opportunity, located near beautiful Carlsbad, CA, runs through November and allows you to work closely with children, families, and educators in a supportive educational setting. Your school-based OT experience will be essential as you guide students toward improved independence and participation in their daily school routines.
What You Bring:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist licensure
- At least one year of prior school-based OT experience is required
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assess student needs and develop tailored interventions to support engagement and participation in educational activities
- Provide direct OT services to students, ensuring progress toward IEP goals
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote carryover of therapeutic strategies
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation for service delivery, assessment, and progress tracking
- Work across no more than three different school sites, allowing you to build meaningful connections at each location
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment
