Licensed Long-Term Occupational Therapist School Setting in Chatham, IL

Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess a valid license as an Occupational Therapist
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Previous experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ abilities to determine needs for occupational therapy intervention
- Develop and implement creative, evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual students
- Maintain detailed records, IEP documentation, and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Provide direct therapy services to support sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skill development
- Consult with educational staff to integrate therapeutic interventions throughout the school environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable input and collaborating on student goals
- Educate and support families on strategies to assist children at home and school
