Qualifications and Experience:
- National Board Certification or current state licensure in Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Experience or strong interest in working with students in Early Childhood, Elementary (K-5), Middle (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12) settings
- Knowledge of best practices for supporting sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, and daily living skills in a school context
- Ability to adapt interventions to suit a wide range of developmental stages
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes and team-based service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide direct OT services to students from Pre-K to 12th grade
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create individualized goals and intervention plans
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with district and state requirements
- Support classroom staff with strategies and resources for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive student evaluations
- Offer consultative services to families to maximize the effectiveness of school-based supports
- Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality, evidence-based practice
