School Occupational Therapist | Cheraw, South Carolina

Make a meaningful impact by bringing your occupational therapy expertise to a diverse group of students within a school-based setting. A full-time contract position is available, where you'll support students from early childhood (3K) through 12th grade across several locations in Chesterfield, SC and surrounding attendance areas. Collaborate with dedicated educators and families from July 22, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and help foster the independence and success of each student.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid OT license for South Carolina and completion of all state/federal background checks
- Experience providing occupational therapy within a school environment preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process, documentation, and goal setting
- Comfortable working with varying age groups and developmental needs
- Skilled at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families
- Flexible, reliable, and organized in managing multiple sites and caseloads
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students aged 3K-12th grade
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations to determine eligibility
- Develop, maintain, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Consult regularly with teachers, support staff, and caregivers to facilitate students’ participation and learning
- Travel to multiple school sites in Pageland, Chesterfield, Cheraw, Jefferson, and McBee attendance zones
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in line with school and state regulations
