Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid Kansas Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility pending state requirements)
- Experience in school-based OT settings; additional background in healthcare or home health is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of student evaluation, treatment planning, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for partnership with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and serve diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas needing support
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with IEP teams
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services, either in classrooms or other school settings
- Document interventions, track student outcomes, and support compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with school professionals and families to ensure holistic support for each student
- Participate in team meetings, professional learning opportunities, and case reviews
