Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Illinois
- Experience in school-based OT settings preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and fellow therapists
- Ability to adapt interventions to a diverse range of student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP objectives and school policies
- Assess student abilities and needs through standardized tests and direct observation
- Develop and implement therapy interventions to enhance students’ performance in academic and daily living tasks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create holistic solutions for student challenges
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and necessary reports
- Educate staff and families on therapy strategies to reinforce skills in and out of the classroom
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student goals
