Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, with knowledge of IEPs and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to design and implement intervention plans tailored to students’ diverse needs
- Compassion and patience in working with children and adolescents
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments in compliance with school policies
- Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals
- Provide direct therapy services (individual and small-group) to enhance fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to evaluation reports, and ensure accurate and timely record keeping
- Educate staff and family members on strategies to reinforce skills in multiple settings
