Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist working with elementary students in a supportive school environment near Chula Vista, CA. You'll collaborate with educators and families to provide exceptional OT services focused on student success.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and current license as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of developmental and sensory processing needs in children
- Ability to manage time effectively while working at two school sites
- Collaborative spirit for working alongside teachers, support staff, and families
- Passion for helping elementary-aged students reach their full potential
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy interventions to assigned students
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and create individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and document student progress and adapt strategies as necessary
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to promote student success within the classroom
- Travel between two nearby elementary school sites to meet caseload requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide clear, concise reports and recommendations
