What you’ll bring:
- Current OT licensure and eligibility to practice in Illinois
- Experience or strong interest in working with children and adolescents in educational settings
- Understanding of IEP processes and ability to create and implement effective treatment plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and parents
- Organizational abilities for managing documentation and scheduling
Key responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs through formal and informal evaluations
- Develop and execute individualized OT interventions within the school environment
- Document services and provide input for IEP meetings, progress reports, and team planning
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote student access and participation in the curriculum
- Offer guidance and training for staff to support students’ needs throughout the day
- Adapt activities and classroom materials to foster greater student independence
- Engage with families to support ongoing developmental progress at home and in the community
