Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students across elementary sites, employing evidence-based interventions to support educational goals.
- Assess, evaluate, and document students’ functional needs in the school environment, completing comprehensive reports and updating progress as required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address student-specific needs.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), ensuring quality care and professional development.
- Schedule and manage a caseload of approximately 24 hours per week over three days, efficiently allocating time to meet students’ needs while maintaining work-life balance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy.
- Prior experience working within school-based settings, particularly at the elementary level, strongly preferred.
- Competency in supervising and mentoring COTAs to promote optimal outcomes and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and student-centered environment.
